Girl Scouts Robot Badges

$25.00

Get ready to have fun with robots! In this hands-on workshop, Girl Scouts will discover what a robot is and how robots use inputs, thinking, and actions to do amazing things.

Scouts will start by using example starter programs designed to explore how robots work. They’ll watch how robots move, react, and respond to what’s happening around them. We will explore how robots use sensors such as light, sound, and color to notice changes in their environment and decide what to do next—like following a light, reacting to a sound, or stopping when they see a certain color.

Next, scouts will work together using LEGO SPIKE™ Prime to build their own robot. Once their robot is built, they’ll learn how to create simple programs to make it move and complete fun challenges.

This workshop encourages curiosity, teamwork, and creative problem-solving in a playful and supportive environment. It’s an exciting way for Daisies and Brownies to explore robotics and earn their Designing and Programming Robot Badges!

To Earn Robotics Badge 3: Presenting the Robot
Scouts will create a trifold display about their robot and either make a short video or present their robot at UWGB STEM Family Day. This final presentation helps scouts practice sharing their ideas and showing what their robot can do.
